Monetary Donations
As a not-for-profit organization, Love of Christ Food Pantry relies solely on the generous donations from community members. The food pantry is run entirely by volunteers who receive no payment for their time.
However, there are many costs associated with operating the food pantry, including:
- Utilities (water, electricity, etc.)
- Supplies
- Equipment
- Maintenance
In addition, the food pantry must purchase food to supplement donation.
Because Love of Christ Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) under LOC Food Pantry, Inc. as a not-for-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible. We are happy to provide a contribution receipt for donations. Please contact us for a receipt.
Food Donations
Love of Christ welcomes food donations from both businesses and individuals. Items must be within the expiration date and sealed in their original containers. We encourage nutritious options that may be served as entrees or side dishes.
Food donations cannot be homemade.
Because we have access to obtain food at a lower cost, we encourage individuals interested in helping to donate money instead of donating food items.
